Very rare, possibly only the second recorded specimen of this aureus, the other being in BM, acquired from Rollin & Feuardent’s 1896 sale of the Montagu Collection, lot 169. Only our specimen occurs in Berk photofile, compiled from catalogues and lists of c. 1970-1990; none in CoinArchives Pro.Sharply struck with decent relief. Nearly lustrous on obverse.
